Applications for the Winter 2023 bursary round closed on Feb 12th 2023 at 11:59pm AST. We will contact applicants in 2-4 weeks from the closing date with our decision as we received a higher volume of applications than previous rounds. The next bursary round will be Fall 2023.

The Board of Directors of the South House recognizes a need for monetary support in the communities we serve. Therefore, the centre provides several bursaries each year. Bursaries are available to both students and community members, which means anyone can apply.

Bursaries are in the amount of $100.

The intention of this program is to provide financial assistance to people in emergency situations and/or people from marginalized communities (with priority given to folks who identify as Indigenous, Black, people of colour, 2SLGBTQIAP+, Disabled, sex workers, newcomers, refugees, single parents, international students, and folks experiencing systemic oppression whose identities are not listed above), who may have no or little access to financial support.

Applications will be accepted via online google form, written submission, audio, or video formats. Applications should include: your name, contact information, self-identification, and description of your need. We will contact applicants with our decision 2-4 weeks after the deadline depending on the volume of applications we receive.
